We regret to make the announcement, but RCSLOT did not receive any complete scholarship submissions and therefore has no winner to announce.

Big Red, check out the blog I just posted, this list of stuff will be what you need to build a good crawler to start with. Once you have it built, drive it around a bit, see what you think, then start looking into customizing it. People typically experiment with different tire foams, different shock configurations, different tires, different gear ratios and such. Basically you want to build the crawler and start tweaking it to perform the way you want, different driving styles and different terrains require different equipment typically. The AX10 will be perfect for the price range you are in. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions or anything!

Everyone should email rctech.net and ask for the post to be reinstated, or at least provide a copy or printout of the entire post. This way, we can get all the names of those who signed up to be in the giveaway and determine a winner.

The Wheely King is a good cheap 2.2 based crawler to start out with. It may not perform with the custom made tube chassis's but for the price it's a good start. Integy makes some good upgrade parts for the Wheely King too. Soon there will be a Crawler category added to RCSLOT.com, check back often, updates are coming, and always feel free to ask questions.

Looks like fun, I can't wait to try out rc rock crawling, I'm thinking about buying the HPI Wheely King, I see it's easy to modify for crawling.
