KSJ's Heli/PlaneStarting SystemIf you're like many R/Cpilots, you take both helicopters and airplanes to the flying field for an afternoonof fun. That means you also have to lug along two starters, one with a helicopterextension and one with a standard starting cone.
Well, not anymore!
KSJ's Deluxe Hex Start ShaftAssembly features a machined aluminum base that clamps onto your starter. Whenyou want to fly helicopters, just screw on the included helicopter starter extension.When it's time to fly airplanes, just unscrew the heli extension and screw onthe optional airplane spinner cup assembly. In about 15 seconds, your starteris converted for airplanes.
HelisKSJ's Deluxe Hex StarterShaft Assembly includes a purple anodized base that clamps on most starters.It has a one-way Torrington bearing mounted in the end so that the extensioncan free-wheel when the engine starts. The extension screws onto the base andhas a steel hex ball end that allows for up to a 30° angular misalignment ofthe extension to the start shaft.
A machined steel adaptoris included that fits all top cone start type .60 size helis with a 6mm startshaft (JR, X-cell, Kalt, Schluter, etc). Two radial bearings support the extension,and because the base solidly mounts to the starter's shaft, the whole unit isvery rigid.
When you're done flying,you can quickly remove the extension for compact storage. All aluminum extensionparts are brightly purple anodized.
