Premium Performance Electric Power Systems Cyclon is one of Europe's top manufacturers of high quality electronic motors and speed controls. By high-quality, we are talking about power systems that are used in international, pro-level competitions. Cyclon invests heavily in F3A and F5B contests around the world to pick the brains of top pilots and explore new design ideas. Using research and engineering acumen, Cyclon has began producing a large range of advanced products including everything from small 17 gram motors for precision aerobatic and 3D indoor model flight to massive motors capable of putting out 10,000 watts of pure power for big 45 pound 3D model aircraft.
Whether you are flying for fun or for trophies, Cyclon can elevate your electric flying experience with their pro-level performance that will allow you to fly to the edge of your abilities and beyond.
CPLR Series Endorsed by F3A world champion Christophe Paysant Le-Roux, these outrunner motors provide maximum power and minimum weight. This power-to-weight ratio is far above existing direct-drive motors in the same range. The smallest of the group, the Nano, weighs only 17 grams, but can turn an 8 inch prop and deliver 50 watts with just a 2-cell LiPo battery pack.
Classic Outrunner Series The power of each Cyclon outrunner motor is in its name, making it easy to find the right motor for your model application. The Cyclon 20 and Cyclon 30 are for very narrow fuselages and are perfect for electric glider airplanes. And because Cyclon motors were the first to offer a reversible shaft that can be mounted on either side of the motor, they are perfect for a wide variety of other model use too.
High Power Outrunner Series Smooth, reliable, quiet, and very powerful - this describes the Cyclon High Power Outrunner series. Take the big Cyclon F3A 160 for example, which produces 3500 watts with high torque and flexibility making it perfect for competition pattern aircraft. The 110 is a great choice for lighter F3A, Sport, and 3D models, and was designed to work with a 10S LiPo pack. Maybe the most impressive in this series, however, is the perfectly named Big Boss. With 28 poles, and enormous 3.9 inch rotor, and the ability to drive a 32 x 12 inch propeller, the Big Boss is intended for massive sport and scale aircraft weighing up to 66 pounds or 3D models weighing up to 45 pounds.
Plug & Fly Series Each Plug & Fly series motor comes with a brushless electronic speed control (ESC) build right in. The motor-mounted ESC manages temperature, voltage, and current for top performance flight after flight. Using a Plug & Fly motor is a great way to save weight, space, and complexity.
Elite Series Cyclon Elite motors integrate a planetary gearbox which allows the mass and size of the motor to decrease, while offering an incredible power-to-weight ratio. Elites are perfect for high-performance sailplanes, other high performance airplanes, and other similar model applications.
Heli Series Cyclon Helicopter motors have 50% less mass than a traditional internal rotor motor. The Mini Heli punch weighs just 50 grams, but can power Align's T-Rex 450 heli's up to 3,000 rpm. Cyclon Heli Series motors are perfect for all maneuvers, from hovering to extreme 3D, for a wide variety of models.
Turbine Ducted Series Cyclon's NFS technology ensures that this series is perfect for electric ducted fan models and there is a motor available for any size fan. The Turbo Cyclon 2000 weighs only 160 grams and is perfect for a 90 mm fan unit.
Car Series Cyclon brushless NFS motors deliver more acceleration and longer run times for RC cars, trucks, and buggies. Also, there is a motor to match almost any application. The Cyclon 5000 is perfect for 1/10 cars, while monster trucks like the Traxxas E-Maxx will roar with the boosted power of the Cyclon 2500.
Marine Boat Series Cyclon's Marine Series motors are designed in three different sizes to be used with 7, 12, or 20 cells. All are very small, light, and powerful. And to top it off, water cooling systems come already installed.
Pilot Pro Speed Controls Pilot Pro ESC's are fully programmable using a transmitter or the optional USB link. They are also flexible and able to drive all types of brushless motors from 2 to 28 poles. Plus, they work with LiPo, NiMh, and NiCd batteries. Other programmable features include cut-off voltage, brake settings, and rotation direction.
Pilot Heli 16 Speed Control The Pilot Heli 16 ESC is designed for micro and mini helicopters. It weighs less than 3.5 grams and features preset throttle curves and smooth voltage management that is optimized for heli's.
