Spektrum DX7 DSM2 7 Channel Radio
The Best Full-Range 2.4GHz Radio System for all Types of Aircraft With the DX7, you can fly anything from micro electric heli's to large-scale gas powered IMAC planes without worrying about frequencies and fear of interference. Never again will the availability of a frequency pin on the pilot board determine when you can take flight, never again will you ask other pilots what channel they are on, and never again will your flying experience be marred by model generated RF noise, other RC systems, or spillover from commercial broadcast towers. Two DX7 Systems Available The DX7 is available in standard and Microlite versions that include different receivers and servos based on the type of RC flying you do. Standard DX7 Airplane and Helicopter Systems: The standard DX7 system includes the AR7000 DSM2 7 Channel Receiver for all types of aircraft and four DS821 Digital Sport Hi-Torque Servos. These are available pre-configured for either Airplanes or Helicopters:
DX7 Microlite System: The DX7 Microlite System includes the 3.5 gram AR6100 DSM2 6 Channel Microlite Receiver and three DS285 Digital Sub-Micro Servos:
DSM2 - The Key to Speed and Security DSM2 is not an unproven concept, unlike most other first of their kind innovations. DSM2 is based on the exact same Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM Digital Spectrum Modulation that RC car and surface racers, as well as micro electric and parkflyer modelers, have been enjoying for several years now. Like DSM, DSM2 provides and impenetrable radio link that is immune to every other known type of RC interference. Not only that, but because it operates at 1024-bit resolution, the DX7 provides the type of precision normally found only in much pricier radio systems. Another huge difference with DSM2 technology, in addition to absolute precision and complete freedom from interference, it processes its signals much faster than any top-quality 72MHz PCM system. And because of this, many pilots who have been flying a DX7 explain DSM2's response time as almost telekinetic. You can have confidence that you will feel much more connected with your model than ever before. AR7000 Receiver - Phenomenal Signal Clarity The AR7000 receiver that is stock with the standard DX7 systems is key to its incredibly robust RF link. Consisting of a compact main receiver that is linked to an even smaller remote receiver by a 6-inch lead, the AR7000 acts like a pair of extremely sharp RF eyes that each take in a slightly different view of the signal environment. Information from both receivers is then processed by patent-pending Spektrum software that takes information from each and combines it to form the most vivid picture of an RF signal possible. What is more, there are no long antennas to worry about. The AR7000's short antenna does not require any external exposure, so installation and transportation is a snap. ModelMatch and ServoSync - Extra Precision and Safety DSM2 and the AR7000 receiver are not the DX7's only marvels. Spektrum engineers have also equipped it with two more ground-braking innovations that you will wonder how you ever lived without them - ModelMatch and ServoSync. ModelMatch puts and end to Wrong Model Syndrome (WMS). Everyone who flies RC Airplanes or Helicopters has at one point or another crashed, or saw someone else crash, because they failed to verify the model name on the transmitter display in their preflight check. A unique code for each model is embedded in the DX7's signal so that if the wrong model's name is on the screen, the aircraft's controls you are attempting to fly just will not respond. Ultimately, Spektrum's ModelMatch will not let you fly the wrong model. ServoSync is an ingenious new feature that actually re-sequences the bits of data that the DX7 transmits based on the type of mixing you select. If you have dual elevator on your big Extra or a 3-servo CCPM setup on your helicopter, ServoSync will see to it that those servos working together receive their pulses together. The result is a more synchronized servo movement that translates into an undeniable, locked-in feel when you fly your aircraft. Compatibility Perfected DX6 enthusiasts or anyone flying small or micro electric models will be pleased to know that the original AR6000 Parkflyer is compatible with the DX7. Those with the AR6000 receiver already in their models will find that it actually benefits from the DX7's signal speed advantages, as well as ServoSync and ModelMatch. Do you only need 6 channels?
