The flying has been pretty good
Well for you guys that are thinking the field isn’t in good enough shap, (there’s water or it’s to windy). Let me tell you that your missing out on a lot of good times. For most of you after work hours are some of the best! The wind has died down the sun is still out “no mosquitoes” the conditions are great. Okay you might not have the luxury of a 100 yard run way, but you still have plenty of landing area.
The guys that have been out flying, myself included are enjoying the open air space. Just today Rich was out there cutting more of the tall grass down so it will dry out faster and give us those long approach and run ways we have been spoiled with.
Ya I have heard the weather forecast, but with the grass being shorter know our down time due to standing water will be far less. My suggestion to you is come on out and spread those wings, get some air under them rather than cob webs.
Remember our Fun Fly is coming up on July 11th. tell the people you work with, we will have flyer’s real soon, see if places like your church, a Walgreen’s your local Pick n Save will post one for us.The more people, more raffle tickets will sell, more food will be bought and eaten and this all equates to more money for the Rams club. And to end the year in the black not the red column. (That would be nice)
Memorial day has come and gone it’s time to bring the family out to the field and to fly your new planes, or your old planes it doesn’t matter. The field looks great remember our bleachers are there and we have grills at the field if you feel like BBQing.
