Using MRC’s proprietary technology, the Accutec RB126 Balancer will precisely test and balance a 2-6-cell battery pack prior to, during or after battery use, to optimize and determine the health of individual cells within the pack.

This latest breakthrough in MRC’s complete line of battery charging and conditioning equipment for R/C hobbyists is specifically designed to balance the individual cells that make up Lithium-based battery packs used in model aircraft, helicopters, ground vehicles and radio control equipment.

Using a high resolution AD converter, the accuracy of the Accutec RB126 is unsurpassed by the competition. Connected to MRC’s Super Brain 989, Super Brain 977 (or any other) non-balancing Lithium capable charger, the Accutec RB126 will ensure the most precise charging and matching of individual battery pack cells, enabling maximum performance and life from each battery pack. Six LEDs display cell condition during use. The Accutec RB126 can be used at any time to check the pack balance without the need of a charger or additional equipment.

Overview

This NiMH wall charger is designed for use with the stock battery that comes with the Micro HIGHroller.

This charger features an initial charge rate of 400mAh, but only maintains this rate for the first few minutes of the charge. The charge rate will gradually drop during the first 30 minutes of the charging procedure. After 30 minutes the charge rate drops to under 100mAh where it will remain until the battery is removed from the charger.

By increasing battery output voltage, the Smart Boost allows users to use any radio receiver in single-cell applications, including spread spectrum radios. The Smart Boost was designed to be used in small or medium-scale vehicles and with 1-cell Li-Po battery packs, such as SMC’s® 1-cell Li-Po pack, SUM4025S. It also has a Li-Po cut-off feature that will interrupt power to the motor when the battery voltage drops below 3.3V to prevent damage to the battery pack.

The 977’s selectable charge rate with 0.10 amp increments allows you to use charge rates from 0.20 amps all the way up to a powerful 5.0 amps (2.5 amps for LiPo). Similarly, you can select an appropriate and safe discharge rate with 0.10 amp increments from 0.20 down to a rapid 4.0 amps. The peak threshold can be selected in 5mV increments from 5 to 50 mV.

The Super Brain 977 uses Digital Signal Processing to filter out noise and provide a high level of measurement accuracy and along with its 12-bit Analog to Digital converter the chargers measurement resolution is always first rate.
