The DS821 servo is a powerful, accurate sport digital servo recommended for RC airplane applications up to 1.20-size. For helicopters, the DS821 operates best with 30-size glow models, and up to 50-size electric. Loads and vibration in larger models may cause premature failure of the servo resulting in damage or injury to property and persons.

Important: Do not use liquid thread lock with the DS821 servo!

Do not use any form of liquid thread lock to secure the servo arm screw to the output shaft of the DS821 servo. Chemicals in these liquids react with the polycarbonate gear set causing the plastic to become brittle, fracturing the final output gear.

Overview

Headlining the new servo selection is the Z8800S and Z8800T Digital Race Servos. The "S" and "T" designates whether the servo is the "speed" or "torque" version. JR has applied this designation to all its new race servos to make identification easier.

Both Z8800 versions boast a newly developed digital amplifier that produces unequalled holding torque and resolution. Even on the most vibration-riddled 1/8 gas car, the new amp keeps things strong, solid and smooth. Pro 1/8 scale racer Ron Rosetti has been field testing these servos for over a year and a half in competitions across the country and has seen first-hand just how robust this new amplifier is, saying, "In my 1/8 on-road car, the new servos' quickness and strength was incredible, and the centering accuracy is simply second to none."

Overview

While JR technically calls their new DS3301 a wing servo (because of its flat profile and unique mounting system that allows the servo to be mounted upright or on its side), we like to think of it as a special purpose, high- performance servo. This is because the DS3301 can be used for many applications that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to perform. The DS3301 can be mounted in cramped areas, preventing the need for complex linkages or bellcranks.
JR's new digital DS3301, with over 60 oz/in of torque, provides plenty of power for most applications. Its thin 0.59'' profile makes it perfect for hiding the servo inside stabs, fins, in cockpits to open airbrakes or canopies, in wheel wells to actuate brakes, and in thin profile wings to control ailerons, flaps, and spoilers.

The DS3301 features a unique dual-mounting system that allows the servo to be mounted conventionally upright or on its side. Two sets of mounting tabs are on the end of the servo; just clip away the one you don't intend to use.
